We've moved to a larger manufacturing facility!

Not all growth comes to a standstill during an economic slowdown. In a significant investment in their future, Pennsylvania-based Weldon Solutions has just moved into its new facilities on East Berlin Road in York. The new location features a 2,300-square-foot showroom and a total of 40,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. The move solidifies Weldon Solutions’ stature as a leader in the CNC Cylindrical Grinder and industrial automation industries.
“Our facility now reflects the same image of quality as our products,” says Weldon’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Denny Rowe. The company manufactures and services a variety of custom machine tools such as CNC grinders and provides robotic solutions that help its customers improve quality and efficiency as well as control costs.
Weldon’s former factory on West King Street contained approximately 30,000 square feet. By strategically improving the layout and work flow and purchasing a state-of-the-art inventory storage system for the new facility, Weldon has expanded its usable floor space by about 40%, according to Rowe.
“Our new building with its large assembly bays will help us handle the very large projects more efficiently by allowing us the room to fully assemble and test systems as they would operate in a production setting,” explains Rowe.
The most significant piece of equipment in which Weldon invested for the new facility is a Remstar inventory system which will house and control inventory and improve cost-effectiveness. Rowe says the new facility also helps the company’s competitiveness: “We have capitalized on our customers’ desire for single-source OEM by expanding our level of turnkey services. We not only provide the machines they need but we also provide the automation, the quality control and support equipment (deburring, washing, labeling, etc.), and process engineering. This raises the value of our offerings and eliminates many of our offshore competitors.”
